IRK BİTİG
Kocaeli Municipal Theatre
Going back to the early 9th century, Irk Bitig is the oldest inscription about
the real and the spiritual world, the good and the bad and the perception of
fate. Personified between the past and present, the text is brought to stage
by Emre Koyuncuoğlu through voices to again foresee the future together.
Deriving from voices, words, the relationship between the fortune teller
and seeker, Kocaeli Municipal Theatre presents a work exploring the
definitions of contemporary opera/theatre of sounds/performative show.
