PLOT:
Two topical local/global themes are the starting point of Dusan Kovacevic in his new dramatic text: hunger strike of workers at a bankrupt factory and the planetary plague of reality programme, which in Serbia not only became a replacement for reality, but also an undisguised symbol of social pathology, and probably the means – direct and indirect – of political manipulation. In an interestingly set dramatic construction, in which the starved workers are fighting for death instead of life, the author continues his dealing with contemporary questions within which he thematises diagnostics/serious illness of the Serbian society: the story about wells, for example, becomes a metaphor about the absurd fate in the Balkans.
